steep point

hey guys im heading up to steep point end of next month.. i havnt ever been there before and i am told that i need a generator and a fridge.. im thinkthing that i will just find a mate who has an engle or sumtin but i was wondering if any body knows where i can get a cheap decent genset from?

really messed them up from what I heard.
You can't even hire space in the walk in freezer anymore ( I think) wouldn't want to cop any flack for being wrong now.

Last time we went up you couldn't hire anything. You will need to take everything you might use; generator, fridge/freezer, helium, gas, shade as there you wont have much fun without any of that.
Good luck, should be nice and warm up there, I'm heading to False Entrance about the same time which is a first for me.

Bring a flynet and don't tell one of your mates, just to see how worth while packing one is! ;)

haha sounds like an its going ot be an interesting trip! last time i went up North with my mate we over shot the turn to steep point by 2 hrs ( soo stupid!) soo we ended up jst saying screw it and kept going up to Quoba and just fished garths and that area.. unfortunatly even though we had all our ballooning gear ready we didnt get to even take it out with the wrong winds.. which leaves mee without experiance in that area.. im a bit nervous we arnt going to have the right rigs, number of balloons, gas ecs.. for ballooning th for 5-6 days we are fishing..
which leads mee to asking who is the Guru on Balloon fishing/steep point??? who can shout me a few balloon fishing rig tips and pointers on STeep point...

Balloon Gas
Don't forget the Balloon gas! you will need either a D size or E size cylinder but to get this you will need to open an account with either BOC Gases or Air Liquide Gas Ltd. On top of the cost of gas you also pay for the hire of the cylinder.

Last time i went up i didn't even rig up a balloon, just spun it up and then when it was nice went over to the west side and bottom bashed. My mates had their balloon rigs cranking but Ive never set one up before.
