Most unexpected....This big beastie snavelled a lure out the back. We were actually hunting (well, hoping)for barras in some creek in about 2.5 m water.
I have new respect for the z4500.

That's a good one for a creek, usually packed their bags and headed off to a reef by that stage. Would've been fun on the Barra gear.

swam back
was about 110cm long and i would say about 20kg,there was a hole of 5mtrs in 2mtrs of water in the creek i would say thats were he lives.
swam back down as nothing had happened,very casual.
i was very carfull not to harm him,gaff in the side of the mouth got the hooks out and took a couple of pics and back he went,did'nt know he was a Qld grouper untill told later from the pic.
