My New Study Door

My New Study Door

Some of us mount fish on the wall... some others mount heads of some description... This is my trophy. Being in IT we have trophys too. This beast is/was only 5-6 years old and worth about 4-5 times what my house is worth. Apart from a very cool door the rest of the beast was recycled with a 100% diversion from landfill and a very effective recovery result for all the very precious metals that went into its build. Pretty cool huh????

It's a door to a big computer

It only weighs about 20 kilos and with two screws at the top and some velcro down the sides, it sits quite nicely :) It's designed with a convex front and rear to allow air flow. Mind you, the missus wouldn't let me cut a whole in the door to test that theory out LOL.

If she saw this photo first she would have never allowed it. In reality it looks quite stunning. She is quite happy about it now seeing the finished result (I think)... LOL
