Where was it caught?

Distribution is shark bay northwards. I've seen them caught off Karratha.

related? not too sure the sietific name dosen't give too much away,

Snapper: Pagrus auratus (formerly Chrysophrys auratus) and..

long spined snapper: Argyrops spinifer

Dan.iv caught a few of coral bay new they were are snapper didn't no wat sort now do cheers.

Caught them as far south as Kalbarri. They are an important pro catch species in fish traps out on the North West shelf.
