Hi All,
My neices fella sent me a pic of a fish he caught up north.
Tried to I.D it but cant find it. look like hairtail with mouth of hydrolicus???
Any ideas

Wolf Herring
Hard to be sure from the photo. It looks very much like a Wolf Herring Chirocentrus dorab to me.

Well done, he sent another pic of the body but could not post more than 1 pic.But after googling wolf herrinh, that was it. so thanks, I can now let him know what it is.
