Wirthy's acrobatic black off Tantabiddi on Wednesday , my first attempt at jumping billfish photos and also my first as skipper and Wirthy's first black marlin on his own boat , normally he's at the helm , top fun .

mate we called him for 50kg , had a great session
all up we raised 8 fish , 4 solid hookups, Deegs had a shit run , couldn't keep the hooks in and cut off on one , I got totally smoked on 37kg on a fish well in excess of 200+kg , could have cooked some eggs on the Tiagra , couldn't get the other lines , teasers etc cleared quick enough to give chase , down to the last wraps on the reel , would'nt be surprised if it was a blue , we were in about 90 mtrs off Hellbee Bank doing about 8.5knts heading home , didn't have a hope of slowing him down , going apeshit on the surface jumping away into the distance Yeehah ,

Another 160kg blue landed yesterday and a 150kg black today. Few other bits a pieces around as well. Dan from freespool 2 raised 50 bills for the week and snake on cat weasal landed an estimated 350kg blue, been lots of big fish around. Can't wait for the weather to come good again.
