Demersal doldrums are over

Demersal doldrums are over

Managed to get out yesterday for an awesome session just north of cape nat. Caught 8 dhus all between the low 50s to 73cm. Kept one at 65cm and one at 73cm (shown in pic). Certianly not big but a good eating size.

Caught a swallowtail on jig as well which was a nice surprise but after a quick photo threw it back in the commotion of netting one of my brothers dhus. Anyone know what their like eating? I heard their pretty good on the chew.

Unfortunately we couldnt find the pinks and after the SW came in quite strong we left for home with our 2 dhus.

are OK eating, not as good as their Bight Redfish cousins.

Hardly worth keeping as they count to your demersal bag but as said above make bloody good bait
