Not sure if any fish will be around the lower reaches of the river atm with the freo port dredging making the water dirty.

We have been getting them in

We have been getting them in the swan for years mainly around freo but have got onto a school at canning bridge. They are big yellowfin as long and thick as your forearm. Last year I got runner up biggest whiting in swanfish from memory I think it was around 750 grams. Nothing like crumbed whiting fillets. We got 16 big boys Saturday night.

the poper should be small as u would think.

the action should u slow as the fish hav to try and adapt to eating somthing off the surface. it will take some time to get a fish but if u do get one itll b a nice fish.
