Where to Catch Yellowtail (for bait)

G'day Guys,

Just wondering if anyone know where I can catch yellowtail for bait. I'm getting tired of paying $8:50 for a pack of yellowtail (actually cots me $17 cos I usually get 2 packs).
Used to get heaps from the yacht club and palm beach jetties but that was years ago.
NOR or SOR doesn't bother me and I've also got a boat so boat or landbased.

Thanks

Usually get quite a few off

Usually get quite a few off the AQWA jetty at hillarys in the warmer months, also out the back of 3 mile amongst the whiting. Just anchor and burley with pollard and fish oil in 20-21m over sand and usually also get blue macks along with big schools or sardines/mulies coming through.

Off the rocks behind AQWA at night

where the light hits the water. Burley cage/float and bait chaser rig does the trick. Nighttime the blowies seem to nick off

Had hundreds in the berley trail in the sound on tuesday night, so id assume inside the harbour off the rockwall would produce the goods.

All along the drop off anywhere north of the d9 in the sound. Anchor and burley. Put the first one you catch way out the back on some heavier gear i say no more ;)
