Upper Canning

Is there anything in the upper canning, past kent street wier? I fish the salt side of the wier all the time for bream but have thought lately to venture up further.
Any thoughts?

ive heard theres stuff kickign aroudn in there, - been told to try nicholson rd bridge with floats. never gotten around to it tho... let me know if u have any sucess :D

I have trolled lures from Kent street right up to where the river narrows off with no success. Have heard there is bream and redfin up there though. Worms would be your best bet I guess.

I used to kick around there as a kid. The only few bream I caught in the area was at the footbridge near carousel shopping centre, on bread. Also used to unreliably catch carp, big stinkin brown ones but have seen large coloured koi swimming around now and again also. Funnily enough have seen good sized marron at the kent st weir.
No idea whats changed in the last decade.
