Totalscan mounting

Wondering if anyone here has tried sticking a totalscan transducer straight to the bottom of their hull. I have a wide planing plank on my boat so was thinking chuck out the bracker and sikaflex it straight on.

I'm sure you can buy a mount
Seen a mount for exactly what you want to do on the lowrance simrad facebook page.

I have not seen these. I did ask the question on this face book page and a few people said they had success with glueing them on. I got some sikaflex on the weekend and stuck mine on the bottom. Hope to try it out this weekend.
