suggestions and help needed

Hi all,

A few friends and I with our Partners, are thinking of heading down a few hours south of Perth (between Manduarh and bunbury) in a couple of weeks.

I am just wanting your educated information relating to the areas down south that has a number of things such as the list below:

Can you please fill me in on:

(1)Location to go (rivers/dams/streams) for redfin or trout

(2)Camping (near by)

(3)Fishing either rivers or dams

(4)Best type of bait or lure/rig that you would suggest trying.

(5)Speicies of fish that are on the hunt this time of year

Any info or advise would be much appreciated.

Thanks all. Look forward to hearing from you.

PM's also accepted if you dont want to disclose any details to the wide public. I will respect your infomtion.

Hi Mate,

dunno what page - but it's in issue 182

http://www.4wdaction.com.au/magazines?SID=#mag-4WD182

you can also get a bit of info from DEC website:

http://www.dec.wa.gov.au/component/option,com_hotproperty/task,view/id,79/Itemid,1584/

brochure here:

http://www.dec.wa.gov.au/index.php?option=com_docman&task=doc_download&gid=5447&Itemid=

for reddies, the humble garden worm would do well as bait; and they're not too fussy when it comes to lures. I use a small celta to increase my chances with trout, or any small minnow type bibbed lure, soft placcy etc.

Good luck :)

Appreciate the detail and the effort you went through for the links. I will have a good read.

If you are ever up for a fishing session on the fresthwater or any form of fishing. Please give me a Pm, i would only love to learn the proper way to fish the waters over here, from someone with the experience.

Thanks a million on the help again, Looking forward to speaking and chatting to ya again soon. :)
