Great reel mate. You must have some very generous family members. I reckon a decent 30lb braid would be the go. You pay for what you get so don't be shy to get the wallet out. Something like Platypus, Finn or even Berkley don't do a bad product.

Leemo has 300 yard of 20lb Grandslam on his. You fit exactly 300m of Sunline super PE 20lb on it, one wrap of backing.

Cheers for the info

Cheers for the info guys!

Torzar I ordered a 4000 spare spool and am putting 20lb on that one for some smaller stuff like trolling for tailor etc and 30lb on the spool that it came with for bigger stuff, hopefully get my 1st dhu on the stradic.

I went the power pro spectra braid, got a big spool of suffix 40lb which I have on my Penn 850ssm so that could go on down the track depending on how the 30lb stuff goes.
