Stolen Gear: Perth 26/5

The following was stolen from my house yesterday afternoon;

Nitro Innovator Surf Assassin 12'
Shimano Stradic 6000FI

Id brought it back from the North Mole yesterday, and washed it. It was in my (walled off) front yard and not visible from the street. Its spooled with a 25lb fluorocarbon leader, uniknotted to 5-10m of yozuri hybrid 20lb, then albright to Stren Microfuse in glacier blue, 20lb. Pretty sure there is still that bit of protective clear plastic on the handle still, it goes on the last bearing, so you don't scratch anything with it. Anyone follow that?

Reward offered, PM for my mobile, and just call me if you see it in a cashie or at the mole or whatever.

what ever you do if claiming unsurance don't tell them that it was taken from an open area! Had my gear taken from back patio and for that fact only got about 50% of what it was worth!!!! Out of say your shed I would have got everything covered!!!!

If I see anyone with your outfit I'll let you know which hospital to find them!!!!!!!

one thing

Tue, 2008-05-27 11:47

Its the one thing I really dont miss about living in the city, sad state of affairs.  You should almost put a description into cashies off the goods, then they may be able to get the person's details.  Just a thought.

Unlucky

Gee that is tough luck mate.  To have it knocked off from your own house is crap.  I will keep an eye out for it.  That is the good thing about these sorts of forums, easy to notify people of stolen gear.  Hopefuly someone sees the lowlife and gives him what he deserves.

Hey Till

Tue, 2008-05-27 13:01

Can you give us a detailed description of the rod (ie colour, bindings, high mount, low mount etc). I am planning to do a few long sessions at the mole later this week and will keep my eyes peeled.

Its the new silvery stradic

Tue, 2008-05-27 13:32

Its the new silvery stradic 6000FI, with light/white/bluish line on a goldy coloured spool. The Nitro Innovator rod is 3pc, black blank, skeletonised plastic grip, has a little bit of red on it, but its black+black for the most part.

Actually that is the right series, but the wrong model, mine had the rounder egg-like handle as its a 6000, that picture must be the 4/5000.

Its a very nice lightweight beach spin outfit and not really happy about having to replace it.

I have the 8000 fi and the 2500 fi so I will be able to spot the Stradic. That's a nice looking rod. I bet they aren't cheap either. Hope someone spots them.

I seem to remember you

Tue, 2008-05-27 13:47

I seem to remember you mentioning about looking at a nitro before, so I'm guessing this is a pretty new combo too, which has gotta hurt all the more.

Gotta hate inconsiderate pricks like that. I've been to your house, and theres no way you'd see anything from the street, so the guy would have had to have walked into a pretty well enclosed area.

Good luck in finding it.

Cheers all for the offers

Tue, 2008-05-27 16:11

Cheers all for the offers and the commiserations!

I checked my local cashies, there is one up on beaufort street, and you never really know how stupid people are.

I've been through a bit of hardware lately which sucks, I broke a rod just a few weeks back. I have the police report in, hopefully it just turns up soonish. I don't want to miss bonito season!

till

I take it that you have reported missing and have an offence (information system) number from WAPOL (WA Police Service) for insurance purposes?

Yeah and it kills me they

Tue, 2008-05-27 21:41

Yeah and it kills me they got it with the stradic too. I was using it with a big clunky BG90 and not really enjoying it at all. Popping the stradic on it was fabulous, no shoulder stiffness after a 3-4hr session.
