cold calm and clear mate.

they love the colder months, clear water, and calm weather.  they'll hit more often than not in those conditions. they bugger off when it chops up and goes murky. usually they are around regardless of tides and rain/cloud, and some conditions will fire them up, but thats something you'll have to find out for yourself.

all of those ideas are spot on. but some of the bigger ones feed wen the wind is up.

the best tip i can offer is search the web for squidding tips and go on youtube and search squidding, egi, and the likes. i learnt heaps of information on them but i have found the best way to learn is to go and practice.

do you know how to use the jigs?

cheers danno

what do you squid pros do about knots, do you use a tiny snap swivel to the jig or just a uni or what?

Special Purpose Egi Clips

Thu, 2010-07-08 21:04

Special Purpose Egi Clips very thin but strong like a snap swivel but without the swivel there pretty light so it wont effect the Jig. and a simple uni or blood knot.

I recommend the Decoy size

I recommend the Decoy size 0, 1 or 2 Egg snaps.. Perfect for breaming, then switch to a metal for tailor, then chuck a jig on for Squid.. Very strong for the diammeter
