Im looking at buying a Daiwa SL20. Been looking at them for a long time and recon they are hard to beat.
Ive just seen that a new version is available .. SL20SHB . i think its basically the same reel but in a new colour, black and blue.
Does anyone know what the specs are for this reel, i cant find them anywhere.. the price is higher but not sure if the specs are. Anyone know??
And what can i do to this reel to upgrade it a bit? I was banking on spending a bit closer to $250, so recon i might as well put it into this reel with a few decent upgrades. Anyone upgraded theirs?.. where to get it done?
Cheers,
George.

Reels
There is a few shimano reels in that price range and they are usally lighter too. I had a look at the blue and black one but was heavier then the shimanos i looked at.

what reels did you look at?
what reels did you look at? ..
was looking at the calcutta, but they have much less drag, dont think they cast as well.. and are more expensive.. they are ligher though. Torium 14 is still a few kg's behind in drag and line capacity.. slightly less weighty, much more expensive.
