Cripps, Merrett, Josh Kelly and Bontempelli are out of contact next year.
Can be the only logical reason they'd free up 2 million and make themselves look like a shit show.
If they landed one or two of the above plus Nick Daicos next year they'd be back in top 4 in my opinion.
