I got bream/trout gear but it

Fri, 2013-05-24 22:44

I got bream/trout gear but it gets used for tailor and skippy (I dont target bream or trout). Presso 1503 & drunken monkey 1-2kg 4lb exceed. My 3yo boy has a 1000 aird 4lb exceed on a 1-2kg aird regular taper 5'6 rod (imported) and has a pb 600mm tailor on it and I got a 350mm skippy on it (rod tip in the water) hehe, numerous unknow bustoffs, I love light gear tho, goes good squiding too (boat drifting)

Silstar Firestick 12 footer

Mon, 2013-07-01 22:19

Caught my PB bream (46cm) at Canning bridge using my 12 foot beach rod- a Silstar firestick with Penn Applause 6000 loaded with 50lb Whiplash. I know it sounds ridiculous, but its true.

I'll be using my largemouth

Fri, 2013-11-08 15:13

I'll be using my largemouth bass tackle for these, I have:

2 x Fenwick medium heavy 7' rods with Shimano Curado 200E7 baitcasting reels - they should be perfect.

From what I can gather, fishing for bream is similar to fishing for bass, light tackle, soft plastics in heavy cover and structure.
