Shark Bay in April

Hi all heading down to Shark Bay during the school holidays, does anyone have any tips on land based fishing spots or general direction to try? Just chasing Whiting and Tailor to keep the young bloke amused TIA?

plenty to get
you can get whiting along any of the beaches . might not be the biggest but lots of them not sure about taylor

Head over to Monkey Mia and when you get to the 80km speed sign turn left and follow the track down to the beach, some good fish can be caught on the high tides late afternoon or early evening.
Bottle Bay , Big Lagoon and Cape Peron are also worth a try but you will need a 4x4 to get there

Not Exmouth......
Unless you want to do a 1500 k day trip to Exmouth. Might be a tad too long for the young mans attention span.
Anywhere that there is sand ( and water ...:) you’ll be looking at getting some fat little sandies. The jetties are good at night for some Squiddly Diddly action . Even better is the well equipped playground right next door !

Cheers for the info fellas. Carnarvonite i think i fished that beach a fair few years ago and done well on the Whiting cheers. Silver Fox i don't get what you mean by the round trip to Exmouth??
