Sea sickness pills which work for me.

Hi all sea sickness sufferers.

Since I was a kid I always struggled with travel sickness. I eventually grew out of getting sick in a car, but out on the sea I still get sick. And that’s full on sick, going on a charter was pretty much waste of money, because within an hour I was throwing burley overboard. I got invited on a fishing trip this weekend, I was bit worried but keen. Well, cut the story short, I remembered that there was a drug called Kinedryl which I was given by my parents so I don’t get sick in the car and I found few pills in my little pharmacy I took with me when I came over here. It worked a tread. One pill when I woke up, one after some 2 hours and one about midday. May be one too much but I wanted to be sure. I enjoyed trip to Roto and back, fishing and so without any kind of feeling sick.

Kinedryl  is bit hard to get here, so far I’ve found just one online pharmacy which could ship it here. http://www.docsimon.com/article/kinedryl-tbl-10 The shipping cost is bit of a killer, but not too bad, when it makes a difference between getting sick and not.

There is probably few other products around, but most of them on prescription or those ginger tablets. But they don’t work for me, because nothing can’t settle the stomach when your inner ear is messed up.

Hope this will help to someone.

I feel sorry for those who get sea sick, must be so horrible.

Glad to hear you've found a solution, must be frustrating not being able to enjoy what you love.

I’ve bought some pills from a Canadian pharmacy, the parcel was dispatched from India (go figure) and it turned up ok. They don’t seem to be bothered by it too much. Unless it’s something you can use for brewing other stuff, I reckon.

I have been using Avomine for close on 7 years now and it's all I will use.

And believe me, I can burley up with the best in a slow swell...  if I forget to take them.

Only side effect is slight drowsyness and some times I need my nanna-nap half way through a fishing day...lol..

berley machine

Mon, 2011-03-28 15:58

Im another fine berley maker and was put off boat fishing as a grommet . Fuel fumes and the motion of the boat in the ocean would get to me pronto .

Then i tried kwells , now i can tie , cut , inspect you name it upside down with a mask soaked in fuel on my face and be A OK .

They do make you thirsty and if i have a false start and dont go out i feel kinda odd for a bit (start swaying!!) .

Without these i would not be boat fishing so yes im converted .
