RMG/Halco lures for Karratha residents.

Once again the good guys at Halco/RMG Lures have brought out their special lures for barra fishing at night. I managed to pick up some Rellic Doc(2.5m) and some Scorpion 125's(0.75m) to try out my luck over the season. There were still a good range left on the shelves but I'm sure once again they will sell like hot cakes, so get in quick.

Just wondering if any Karratha residents have had any luck so far this season with this particular colour?

Don't think you need these ones Brad going by your latest efforts up in Hedland. Keep going along with what you've been doing, you seem to be having some good success of late.

They also make lures in Indonesia with their Halco range. These particular lures were specially made in Perth for Karratha locals.

It says on the back of my RMG and Halco packets "" Halco manufactures in its own factories in Australia and Indonesia "

I guess one of the factorys is still in Freo, they no longer have Australian made on the packets,,not sure when all this changed tho i only noticed recently ?

Bit disapointed with the Indo

Mon, 2010-12-20 20:10

Bit disapointed with the Indo factor but will not change anything for me while they have a strong presense in W.A and keep coming up with some great colours and great lures i will be buying them,,as long as they don't move everything to China, lol

Now i wonder if we can get some of these lures smuggled to Perth from Karratha ? Probally cost $100 on the black market, lol, Barra lures always go awesome on Pinkys,,

( I wonder if i can get some special lures made for Kwinana residents ? hmm, lol)

You could always ask Shorty

Mon, 2010-12-20 20:15

If you put an order in for 50 they might come to the party. No harm in asking?

Halco

Mon, 2010-12-20 20:27

'Halco is an Australian owned and run business based in Fremantle Western Australia, with a small and effective management team that brings with it a wealth of design, manufacturing and marketing experience, not to mention a lifelong love of fishing.

What sets Halco apart from its competitors is its wealth of fishing experience, particularly in regard to lure fishing. This understanding of what it’s like to be a dedicated angler is what makes the difference when it comes to designing, testing and manufacturing lures.'

From the frontpage on their website.  I have a magazine here somewhere which shows the operations in Fremantle.  Its right near my tafe. Pictures of the painting booths, assembly areas, testing tanks.

Oh yeah i am a Karratha

Tue, 2010-12-21 22:59

Oh yeah i am a Karratha resident just working down South at the moment making the big bucks, will call into the factory and pick mine up,,

The Kwinana lures are still in the design stage,,at the moment the lures will have a picture of an unlicensed pittbull, a bogan,a winny blue,,mary jane leaf ,,Bundy and coke and a single mother with 8 kids emblazoned on the side,,,

If you can afford the price Centerlink will give you one for free when you pick up your disability check and workers compo (after putting in a hard day Sambo jigging)

BTW > I did a search on Halco Indonesia factorys and its in Batam (spelling?) The Halco newsletter feb 09 mentions its been in operation for two years at that stage,,so its been nearly 3 years since they started making them some overseas,,

Def some conditions where

Mon, 2011-01-03 12:22

Def some conditions where thees guys are essential, at least they got a decent amount in this time, missed out on the last batch. the ones I had at the time were looking more white than black. First ones Ive seen with the gold stripe, should be good. The river your fishing at the moment Brad appears to be one of only a few to be firing so far this season. You'll have to stick with it I reckon very quiet down this way so far.
