750,000 members and couldn't organise a friendly rally to protest these fishing bans that aren't based on science.
Recfish lip service are out here doing snapper guardians but can't influence the government that the bans are wrong especially REMOVING dhu size limits and allowing the commercial boats to catch during spawning.
Also no word from Recfish lip service on removing maximum shark limits (Could maybe stop a few fatalities) Joke of an organisation!!!
Lets now send out how good the pelagic fishing is and not deploy the FAD's like we said we would do

I signed the petition and shared it with as many people as possible, I sent numerous emails to the premier and his little buddy Donny boy and at least got back bullshit generic responses. I sent emails to recfishwest a few times telling them there friendly chats didn't work and they should be organising a rally and got nothing back!

As a paid up recfishwest member I generally agree with these comments.
A call to action would have had a good response and may have affected the outcome. Look at what a bunch of mangy never do wells did to Roe 8.

Did they ask why the report in 2021 said fish stocks were recovering adequately, yet the latest report said there was a problem, both using the same data?
Did they argue about the flimsy data that was used that scientifically would not stand up?
Did they take into account the vast areas of coastline that is not accessed by rec fishers, resulting in essence massive conservation areas?
Did they give tacit approval to the ban in the beginning, and no resistance to the proposals?
Did they argue about the metro area the being the most heavily fished so there will always be less fish in these areas, but restocked by the unfished areas?
Was most of the data collected in the metro area?
Has any effective survey been done to establish fish stocks, that is the number of dhufish and snapper per square kilometre, apart from questioning fishermen?
Do they rely on government support to pay their way, and is this a conflict?
Did they take any effective action during the process or allowed themselves to be overwhelmed?
Did they take into account he effect on businesses that supply rec fisherman, and the effect on country towns?
Did they compare suggested bag limits to those in other states?
The list is endless.

We went to the snapper release on Saturday and noticed that Punch didnt show up, rather one of his mates.

He didn't show up because he has no love or feelings regarding fishing or the ocean. Hence why he shouldn't have a single pinch of say in any matter regarding it. His background is psychology and social work. How the hell he gets to dictate fishing relations is beyond a joke. Its easy to lock people out of something if you haven't got the same passion.
