Nearly ideal

March is when the southerlies stop and you get the light easterlies in the mornings with a sea breeze from the SW in the afternoon, allowing you to balloon then spin later on.

Any time from April through to July because the southerlies usually start to crank up in August right through to March

what canarvonite is saying is April is a good time to be there and pretty much anywhere in the state.  Anytime the wind isnt blowing = good fishing

what are you chasing in particular? mackies, bottom fish

Cheers Carnarvonite. Mainly makies, tuna etc on balloon and spinning but any bottom species would be good aswell like baldies and snapped.

peak balloon time is june-august but it is very busy then so you might be better without the crowds and they can be there at anytime if the water is right.

bottom fish all year around really
