Thats no, you need to get them yourself.

Pretty good chance you would get yourself and your mate smoked if you turned up at the boat ramp dry, no pots and a cray too.

i know where your coming from piston ... a few years ago while salmon fishing at bunkers bay a bigger boat pulled up next to my dads tinnie and gave him a snapper as they was over thier limit .. with the fish i suppose its harder as its dead . where a cray is still alive and can be returned . all i know is that the pinky tasted pretty good.

I always say if your not sure DONT take it  and find out for next time.

i think you already knew the answer  at least now you do know for next time. If your mate comes over after the day and shares some of HIS bag limit then you know he is a real mate and you wont get in troubl.

You have your boat limit of crays and put your excess crays back in the pot and return it over the side. Is that ok?

If you pull them out you're meant to release excess catch, but what about if you leave them in the pots in the first place? My guess is they'll escape before you go back.
