Port Hedland last few days

Have been in Hedland for work since Tuesday and here til next Friday.  Fishing has been very slow.  Tides aren't the best at the moment either, but we've been giving it a good crack.  Been throwing Sp's everywhere with very little interest from the depths, trolled out to channel marker 34 where the bait schools where in mass proportion, heaps of surface action but no takers, so its hittin the creeks this weekend for hopefully a bit more action.

If any of you have some good advice for something local, please don't hold back.

Did manage a nice Blue-nose Salmon on a ganged mulie out the end if Finucane Wed evening.  Cooked him up fresh on the beach with some oysters off the rocks.

Will keep on searching.

Until then.  Tight Lines!!

Our second-last day, and the weather finally started playing the game, and so did the fishing.  Got out in the channel again and there was a bit of action to keep us on our toes for a while.  Massive schools of Trevs, tuna and school mackies to keep us entertained for a few hours.  Kept two Mack Tuna for the BBQ, which weren't too bad either.

Good to see Fisheries around in numbers too.
