Port hedland fisho's ?

Afternoon guys .. Tho I've been a member here for a while I've been a bit busy to post for a long time .. I've just started work in south hedland and wondering if there are many other crew up there ?
Ill be driving up from busso so ill have a 4x4 and my kayak to tour around in .. Can anyone suggest places to go for a fish that are safe in kayak or from the shore ?
Some of my work mates are fishing the 6 mile near the salt mine but I'd like the chance to catch a little barra if possible .. I'll try the actual wharf for queenies too for a giggle ..
any help or a fishing buddy would be great :)

Yeah mate, few of us up here, the water was cooled right down by the cyclone the other week and the water at 6mile was dam right cold (cold for us northern folk), this usually slows the Barra down a bit, but it may warm up again, the town jetty is very hit and miss, sometimes the fish are there, sometimes they aren't, try plastics around the 3-5 inch size and work them fast.
How long are you up in Hedland?

Hey Yewiefish .. I'm only up there for a few months as far as I know .. I'm doing a 3 and 1 roster with my week off I'll head to exmouth chasing GT .. But I'm living in town so easy enough for me to drive around after work for a fish :)
will have to catch up for a beer with some local crew :)
