Pirate Jig split rings

Just wondering if I should change the split rings on the Pirate jigs, the ones it comes with looks a bit suspect.

Depends what you're fishing them on, but generally, yes. The hooks will bend out before the split fails (or your main line will snap)

decoy size 6 are probably a
decoy size 6 are probably a bit big mate i would only use the hyper wire split rings like Sam said or the Decoy in Size 4 (50lb)or 5 size (60lb)

The ones on the fankies look very ordinary. I usually rerig mine, but then I usually head rather than tail rig them anyhow.

Yeah, put a better split ring on the fanky's, the original isn't great.
