Hi everyone, Im new to the group and come to ask for some advice and knowledge if possible. We are taking our young boys for a way overdue road trip with the dinghy and we are travelling up to Broome then down the west coast. can anyone please help or suggest where to catch some monster mudcrabs and some nice fish please. We have caught big muddies in Carnarvon but want to try some new places. Thanks everyone

Mate a couple places I love to visit when going North
are, Barn Hill South of Broome and one of my favourite spots, mainly because not so many people there is Balla Balla, due west of Whim Creek..
I've spent half my life fishing.. The other half I have wasted..

I'll second balla as a pretty good spot for some nice muddies. Have always done well there and there are quite a few different creeks to poke around in.
Get some nice jacks in there too as well as the usual suspects like cod, sharks and salmon. And a shite load of catfish so target the deeper snaggy areas closer to the banks and not just the main channels.
Also there's 2 wrecks a few kms out which are ok for a dive if the vis and current are doable. Plus a few spots where you can pick up black jew. The search bit will pull up more info.
Other places I've done well for crabs are Exmouth gulf and Onslow.
