 I can definitely see why

I can definitely see why that cracked. You'd be able to buy a replacement new before the 4th if you have funds and are happy with a dunbier etc. If going custom I'd recommend talking to tezzas in port Kennedy

I have never had such a easy trailer to launch , retrieve , so worth a look.

Mines got a 495 haines profish on it, and its a breeze to tow, I have no interests in Chivers , just a suggestion.

We're you located...if it's a few welds / stiffening I can help as a temporary.

I just got a yellow sticker off mine which I got during the blitz a few months back...new springs, bolts and breaks came in at $500 few weekends to change over.

 Those crossmembers rust thru

Those crossmembers rust thru as the seawater probably has been sitting in there.
Usually there is a drain hole at the low point, may have been blocked?

Tezzas trailers Ibeam construction is the way to go.

I've just rebuilt my 4 ton

Sun, 2018-12-30 17:26

I've just rebuilt my 4 ton triaxle and for all parts, new brake accutuator, galv and Freo trailers welding total cost was $5k. I'll post before and after pics once relicenced. If I'd payed some one to do the whole job the parts cost + labour would not be far of a new trailer.

I picked up my new Tezza's

Tue, 2019-01-01 16:46

I picked up my new Tezza's Trailer just before Christmas and could not be happier. Would recommend one of Terry's trailers hands down over any other steel trailer. Built to suit YOUR boat, he even lifts the boat off the old trailer, puts it onto the new and adjusts all the rollers/skids for you. And price wise he was actually a little cheaper than the mass produced trailers I priced at our local boat yards.

If you decide to go new, Tezza's is the way to go !

 Thanks for all your feedback

Wed, 2019-01-02 11:42

Thanks for all your feedback guys after 5 days of stressing on what to do I was given the bad news today from 3 different mobs that the trailer was going to cost nearly as much for a new one than to fix all the issues

So iv ended up going with a new one from Chivas that they luckily had in stock I would have liked to have gone and see tezzas stuff but I barely got the boat to Chivas a 10 minute drive became an hour as the cross bars opened another 10mm on the way there and Im watching the boat sink into the trailer scary to say the least.

So if anyone is looking for a second hand trailer project it's a 6 meter dunbier has new tyres and rims, jarret winch and registered thanks again.
