hey rickets, how much do those hb lures set you back ?

i know peeps spend $20 on a squid jig without flinching these days, so interested how much folks spend on bream lures, and if they lose them to snags easily ?

they cost a bit... the

they cost a bit... the bottom end lures cost between 8-12 bucks a pop nowadays with the top end lures costing from 17 to 22 per lure.

I know the ecogear sx40 which is currently one of the most popular tournament HB's in bream fishing sits at cost price around $12 so most tacklestores will let it go for $17.. some even sell them as high as $22.

As for losing them on snags, well that is always a big possibility but the confident bream fisherman who knows his ground will rarely lose his gear unless he makes a huge blunder, (like misjudges the wind and casts into a tree).. I tend to find I lose way more soft plastics because of the jigheads sinking to the bottom and snagging up than losing HB's which suspend in the water free.

Also, most breamers use boats thus allowing them to maneuver themselves to where the lure may be snagged and get it out lol
