Is it just me or are there more larger snapper around at the moment.
We were fishing out on our usual mark on the five fathom at the weekend and there seemed to be quite a few good size snapper which i havent seen before, yes the odd small to medium size one, but bigger snapper around the 750mm size. we took our two limit within the hour, then carried on fishing through heaps of trevally, great fun....... also there were no wrasse caught, whats going on??? anyone have any ideas??

Snapper are eating wrasse and getting bigger from it!
I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

The wrasse were most probably too busy following our boat around ..

amazing what happens when you change the rules a little
no more pro boats smashing hundreds of pinks off safety bay every day after cray fishing and then the closure during spawning season! thats got to put a crap load less pressure on the pinks, hence why there seems to be alot more around
ALL FISHERMEN ARE LIARS EXCEPT YOU AND ME! AND IM NOT SO SURE ABOUT YOU!
