Mandurah newbie

G'day guys great site firstly! I have just moved to yunderup from the pilbara and was just wondering what you guys would be targeting this time of year, leading into winter. I have a 6 meter boat and am more than happy to fish the murray as well. Cheers

G'day guys this time off year can produce good fish pretty close in. I tend to travel no more than 10 nm out during winter and get all the demersals. I live in mindarie though but am guessing would be same down there. Find some good reef structure and sound out the fish. Down there some good spots out of port geographe bout 10mile, not sure bout bun bury guessing would be good ground as mandurah has some great ground to

  1.  I fish almost exclusively for Demersals off Mandurah. I have only a 15 foot tinie so I'm a bit limeted but I do OK on Dhuies. There are also big KGs (50cm+) black arse & the usual variety of small fish. Not many Baldies. Its all pretty flat ground - not obvious pinacles etc. So you just have to put in some time & drift around till you start catchng the right kind of species. I wouldnt bother with the James Service unless you like wrasse. 15 KM is about my limit so I cant tell you anything about deaper water sorry.
