I was down there this morning and picked up one herring and one seagull, didn't notice anything else landed either.

Till - 2 tips :)
1) When going FISHing, FISH for FISH.
2) Don't use chips for bait.

True milsey!
Yeah was just joking
I know, I take it, that wasn't the yellow sweet/savoury lolly variety. LOL
Seriously, yes, they are quiet a pest!
Not as bad as an Albatross though
, one has to be VERY careful getting those off! They tend to be pretty narky and have very big and sharp beaks!

I got the bird when it flew
I got the bird when it flew a bit close to me when I put my lure back for a cast. So far my two SP hookups have been a shark and a seagull. The shark was at least tasty.

There is an albatross at Kalbarri
Which has worked out how to open fishing tackle boxes.
Makes it hard when you are fishing on one of the reefs and it has got its great head in your tackle bag and is scoffing all of your mulies.

LOL!!!
Hahahahaha - some good stories there. Untangling braid under ANY situation is a nightmare - with a manic bird break dancing in it - would be a LOT worse!
LOL Colin !
We often get pelicans landing on the bait board, THAT gets a bit hairy!

On the crayboat we'd get
On the crayboat we'd get albatross and mutton birds landing on the deck and they wouldn't be able to take off (need a long run up) so we'd have to catch 'em and chuck 'em over the side...even trying to do the right thing by them they still didn't mind trying to put a hole in us!

The salmon and bonito have quitened down but the pink snapper has certainly picked up at the North Mole and ASI groyn etc. Some good fish to 10kg but the average size has been 4-6kg with more fish landed than what people think!
