To win votes. If anybody in the opposition party really understood whats going on theyd be trying to support the initiative.. Well law now.The only flaw i see in the new regs is that the Ban is at the wrong time.If we want to preserve our precious iconic dui.

Something needs to be done..And a ban on the major holiday season is the only solution to help preserve the spawning season of our much loved fish.

We cant take jobs away and commercial fishing is needed.. to provide jobs for people in the greater west. (And lardi das that can afford a kilo of it from the fish shops).

The whole thing is a step into the future,  but its only a half assed attempt.

Please dont jump me and abuse me.  Its my opinion and i love fishing outwide but if it keeps going the way it is we wont be able to even do that.

Thousands of no fishing signs with their federal Labour buddies....

Anyone remember when it was Labour that proposed the fishing licence?

It just shows you their hypocricy...

They have no policy direction, just make it up as you go along crap..

Both State Labour and more so Fed are just dying to put up those no fishing signs but the licence is to some extent in the road as a management tool..

Theyll convince the masses that they wont have to pay a licence but can dangle a line in the water somehwere witht he equivilent amount of fish in their swimming pool...

Interestingly does anyone know where the current licensing funds are going to be spent?

Thought this was meant to be public knowledge?
