Just out of curiosity

I'm wondering what is the best way to store poppers & stick baits. I've been collecting a few for the Onslow trip, but there must be a more compact way than what I'm doing at the moment.
I'm hoping he won't notice the Kayak

are you talking about GT
are you talking about GT size poppers or smaller 40 grammers?

I use a Plano soft sided
I use a Plano soft sided tackle bag which stores 4 X 3700 plano stowaways.. can hold the 200mm poppers quite easily.
The hammerhead popper bag isn't bad but they have to be stored unrigged which I don't like.

All of them
Both Kasey, infact all of them.
I have one of the tackle bags, and have 3 of the stows left to use Jay. I'm sure I cold fit more in them if all the dividers were removed, but then they would end up a jumbled spikey mess. Is this the best way??

Hi Jody
A cheap solution for GT poppers is a Klip it box, available at Kmart. About as sturdy as Plano and waterproof. Comes in big sizes up to 5L. All chuggers will fit, but really long pencils and stickbaits may not... though I have yet to see those sizes readily available off our local shelves.
I like using rollable mesh bags too. I also like using a large waterproof soft top bag that I can just dump all of them into. Those are probably the preferred methods from what I have seen of experienced travelers out there.
I store all my GT poppers unrigged, with the trebles already attached to split rings in a separate small box. This saves me space, having a big tangled mess of poppers, and the damage that many big trebles can do to everything when in transit. With split rings its very quick to just snap on 2 trebles and attach it to the line.
The smaller ones I just chuck into those plano trays rigged up, as the smaller hooks cause less of a mess.
Hope that gives you some ideas.
