Always look at the line retrieve per handle revolution when comparing different reels, ie: Shimano Stella 5000SW XG/6.2:1/100cm v's Daiwa Saltiga Blast 4k 5.1:1/98cm.
The ratio on is only useful when comparing the same reel with different gearing, ie: stella PG/4.8, HG/5.7 and XG/6.2.

Don't get caught up in the gear ratio, its the retrieve per handle revolution thats important.
The hyper speed is about 132cm per handle turn in the 35-50 sizes, not sure I'd buy one myself, it would have about zero torque.
