Just wondering what the fastest retreive overhead reel is on the market?
anything faster then a saltist hyper speed at 7.1:1???

Ratio x Drum
Don't get caught up in the gear ratio, its the retrieve per handle revolution thats important.
The hyper speed is about 132cm per handle turn in the 35-50 sizes, not sure I'd buy one myself, it would have about zero torque.

No, I'm saying that the gear ratio in isolation is meaningless.
Always look at the line retrieve per handle revolution when comparing different reels, ie: Shimano Stella 5000SW XG/6.2:1/100cm v's Daiwa Saltiga Blast 4k 5.1:1/98cm.
The ratio on is only useful when comparing the same reel with different gearing, ie: stella PG/4.8, HG/5.7 and XG/6.2.
