Has anyone been to dirk hartog in the past few months

Just wondering if anyone has been to dirk lately
heading up in a few weeks. anyone got any reports ?
Im more interested in the condition of urchin point shack tho, ive heard rumours that the floor is compleaty gone.
Last time I went, the timber floorboards had been removed but it had been back filled with sand and carpet was laid on top. which was a lot better.. but now I'm getting stories from unreliable sources that it has eroded away and is just a big hole.
any info will be much aprevated

Hey mate just got back a week ago and the floor of urchin is same as it was. Still has carpet with sand underneath and no hole. Swell was pretty big for most of the trip and really strong easterlies made fishing hard work. Early morning was the best time we found and late arvo produced a couple of times.

Track is same as always.
Track is same as always. Really rough in the middle of the island and not too bad across the top where it's a bit sandier. The sand flies were really bad for the first couple of day but once the wind picked up all we had was the occasional mozzie

Just touching base on the
Just touching base on the trip for anyone interested,
we fished the west and northern end of the island for 10 days and it was tough
if it wasn't the swell making spots unfishible it was the wind blowing the wrong way.. the water was dirty and the fish were really quiet
When it did clear and got a good day we managed a few bottom fish of the rocks ranking baldies and a few pinkies if we could get them past the sharks, then spots would shut down... spaniards were also quiet not getting any on the ballooning gear
took the tinny out to the lighthouse a couple of times, plenty of fish on the sounder and good hookups ..but could not get past the sharks couldn't beat em, even if we full locked skull dragged the fish up.. We moved to shallow depths of 10/15m to see if we had a better chance and still every fished got nailed we moved around a bit but couldn't get away from them so we gave up not wanting to waste fish..I have never encountered sharks like this in the years I've been going up..
All in all was a good trip beats being home in perth and good to get away with the guys and forget about the rat race for a while

Literally driving back from there as I type,
And I can confirm the sharks are well and truly out of control up there. We still managed to get plenty of fish, but some major tactics were required to beat the sharks. We thankfully had awesome weather for our 3 day trip.
