GOTCHA

From the Daily Mail, UK.

How far would you go to grab yourself a bite to eat?

This
is the moment when a pair of bottlenose dolphins decided that two heads
were better than one as they teamed up to snare a salmon.

Scottish photographer Alistair Kemp was amazed when the hungry duo leapt out of the water chasing their unfortunate prey.

Catch me if you can: The two dolphins have a little bit of fun as they toy with their prey

The playful pair appeared to be
having quite a lot of fun with their quarry and there was no escape for
the salmon, despite its best efforts.

The
slippery customer kept the two dolphins amused as they dodged each
other in the Moray Firth, Scotland, but ultimately, it was time for the
salmon to admit defeat and fulfil its destiny as dolphin food.

Gotcha: It's game over for the unlucky salmon as one of the dolphin finally grabs his prize

I wonder if the people in the back of the first pic are fishing? Looks like it would be worth it.

Yeah saw that Ad's. Bloody terrible. Such an incredible waste of an awesome and superintelligent creature. And their method of rounding them up, trapping and just stabbing them was utterly cruel. I've still got the image of the one which was swimming around, blood pouring profusely from its back, struggling to get to the surface to breath. shocking. Absloutely shocking.

Smart

They are very smart creatures. When netting schools of fish and accidentally caught dolphins inside the circle of net they wait untill you have it all secure then swim over so you can push the corks/floats down to let them swim out. Also had them push a huge school of salmon in from the deep till close to the beach so we could net them as well, dolphins feeding on the fish inside of the net and when they are full swim over to be released.
