got some q's about double snelled free sinkers and paternoster rigs

Howdy, just making up some rigs for tomorrow targetting dhu's and snapper and black bums etc

Im making up some double snelled leaders on 50lb with a size 5 sinker and crimp about 12 inch from the snell. Question is how long should i make the leader? At the moment they are about 2 and a half meters but iv heard they can be about 5 meters.

Second Q, how long should a paternoster be and should just run a gang from it or is possible to double snell this rig also?

Lastly, what is the best way to attach the leader to the main braid? Was gonna connect them with a black swivel with a 50 kg breaking strength but im now thinking of using a uni knot or something like that. I tend to feel a bit crappy on the water when i have build rig after rig so i want something quick and easy.

Thanks.

i made my leaders roughly 2 -3 meters from braid to sinker weather bottom bouncing or driftbaiting

never ran ganged hooks offshore ,  either single circle or 2 snelled with a bit of the red plastic tube between the 2 hooks to combat abrasion.

you can tie your bimini'd braid to leader with albright or gt knot  or you could catspaw the braid to a swivel and uni your leader to that
