ok, cant help you with a instant 4wd spot , but may I offer some advise, gained after 25 years of beach fishing and 4wd

around WA coast?

Do you have a quality ,( think more than $200 buck) compressor and a decent gauge, as well as a shovel

and either a high lift jack or bedding plate for the prado jack?

If you have never used or had a 4wd before , then sometime in the not distant future you will come unstuck, this

isnt to scare you , just saying it happens to everyone  ,and best to avoid it as long as possible ( that what letting your tyres down is for)

and when it does happen some way to extract yourself ( jack and shovel), mattracks as well if you can afford them, or bunnings sell

hessian rolls 1 m wide by 5m very cheap , that can be doubled up and layed down.

Before heading out , make sure your battery is in tip top condition ( replace mine about every 2 years reguardless) and you carry

a decent toolbox ( met many b/down on tracks that havnt), and always take a rubbish bag of some sort ( very important)

ok , one little spot that would really suit you, If your in the busso area , dont forget to check out white point , accessed down

through scott river road , ( turn left at the end t junction), not too soft on trcks etc , but avoid the beach , can be very very soft .

good luck , feel free to ask more as you go , and dont forget to post your first 4wd fish capture .

First advise, similar to

First advise, similar to above. let your tyres down. Secondly, let air out of your tyres. Third is to reduce the internal pressure in your tyres. Following all of the previous advise will save your clutch, patience fuel economy.

Get some Max Trax($250), Treads ($200) or Grating strips ($100) (from Scavenger Supplies in Mandurah). WHEN you get bogged, these will be a godsend.

Finally, take a rubbish bag so you can take all of the crap you drag in, back out with you. Remember it is all lighter afterwards. ( i never understood why empty beer bottles are left considering they would weigh 3 times as much when they were full of liquid)

Good luck.

Get a decent recovery kit (snatch strap) not everyone hase them and if they do are sometimes reluctant to use them to tug someone else out( perth area anyway). Always stick to the tracks, if there are no tracks in the sand on a beach just check it before driving on it avoid going below high tide mark, avoid wet weedy areas, be very careful on sloping beaches, please stay out of dunes and follow the local rules. Have fun and enjoy 4 WDing.
