Fish finder on Kayak/ canoe

Hi Guys n Girls
I was wondering if it is possible to mount fish finders on canoes and kayaks and if so how hard is it?
I don't own either myself but can can get access to them quite easally but dont want to do any damge to them by putting a fish finder on one and also would like to remove it after use.
Any advice would be appreciated.

my sounder can be removed in
my sounder can be removed in about 2 minutes...cables are run out to head unit and both transducer cables are run out and onto a bit off bent up perspex that clips on the side battery sits in a tupper ware container in the hull as does the structer scan module and all excess cables arw taped up n out of the way
this pic gives you an idea of the transducer mount and were the sounder is mounted...hope this helps
