Esperence bottom bouncing - any tips

Anyone willing to share a few tips on where to try for snapper out of Bandy Creek? Been here a week with the kids catching skippy and herring, but now they've gone home and I've got a few days to try to get some bigger fish, and the wind has stopped blowing (at least for now). Heading out to Cull Island today to see if I can find some, but I've never had much luck down here finding snapper, so would welconme any hints.
Thanks,
Boofo

Cull Island had snook
Well seabreeze told a fib - by the time I got out it was blowing a gale. Anchored up in the lee in 15m over weed, brought back a couple of decent snook (70cm) but were over weed. Out tomorrow to find better ground.

snapper
Snapper can be very elusive down there compared to other bottom fish like queenies and nannies, but when they are around Ive seen them caught as close in as flat rocks!!
father-inlaw has a snapper spot in the vicinity of lion island.......but saying that he mainly fishes out of lucky bay....round mondrain etc
weather is very hit and miss this time of year unfortunately.....which is a pity because thats when the majority of visiting fishos come down....but that leaves more for us locals!!!!

Queenies and Nannygai
Thanks for the tip. I reckon I'd be prettyhappy to pick up a queenie or some nannygai!
Can you launch from lucky bay? I've got a 6.5m glass boat behind a Navara so not confident of launching from the beach unless it's really firm.
Tomorrow I'll try lion island and black island and if calm maybe head out to the islands behind woody.
I'm sure Im not muchthreat to the locals :)

yep can beach launch at
yep can beach launch at lucky, to the right of the beach access.....beach is rock hard but it helps if you have an extended drawbar or wheel on the drawbar so you can tow the trailer out with rope.....its pretty shallow
Try figure eight islands out west too
