cops at the ramps

The cops have been at the ramps putting sticker on trailers. I beleive they wehere at point peron this morning and banged stickers on for brakes, lights and stopping boaties going out with safety gear that was out of date.

Big blitz today
At point peron . Also seen undercover police pull car over driving to ramp for not having boat tied down to trailer .fisheries/ Marine safety big blitz . Few weeks back just got new everything . Always check dates on safety equipment . Everything gone up in price .( including fines) one thing you don’t need prior to Xmas

If like last year then that means they will be at woodies next weekend. They were checking safety gear at woodies this weekend but I was too early for them and they weren't interested in checking my gear after I had been out just gave me a wave which was nice I had checked all my dates though so no worries if they did. Other than fire extinguisher thats not in date. Hope they don't ping me for that.

Funny enough you don’t need one with outboard motor . But if you carry one and out of date . They can fine you . I went through this with someone yesterday who it happened to . Just keep it in mind

Just checked the regs LJ and you are right, only inboard engines and boats with cooking, heating and cooling systems.
I do carry one anyway.
