Hi fellow fishos was thinking of heading out from Busso for a spin and try and get amongst some KG`s. Never fished out from there so looking for any advice on depth, direction to head etc would be awesome.

About 3nm offshore is a ridge that shows prominently on the chart and easy to pick on the sounder, it runs from off Port Goe around the bay to finish? off Siesta Park. Any where either side of the ridge should produce Kgs, their bite is a distinct tap tap with no follow up drag on the line, once you feel it you won't forget how the bite feels

Try drifting through areas
Try drifting through areas with some nice sand holes amongst the weed. I like depths around 5-10m. They are everywhere through the bay so move around till you find them. The last few years have been really good for KGs plenty of 40 plus cm fish been caught in good numbers. Always have a squid jig out as well. Fresh tentacles are great bait.

Have done pretty well behind
Have done pretty well behind the hospital and down towards dolphin road.anchor in the sand holes & patches on the edge of the weed beds.just a few plain chook pellets usually bring them around without to many trumps
