hey all
Just wondering what everyone's brand of choice is when it comes to braid, and different for different types of fishing, as in 20lb casting to 80lb bb..

"ygk jigman" is my favourite
"ygk jigman" is my favourite line so far but it was bloody expensive, really smooth/round/thin and strong line (62lb rating and only pe4 thickness). i like the fluoro green "sunline super pe" for lighter fishing (around 10lb) seems to hold up well even when i snag the occasional stingray or sambo, get a few good runs before it snaps :)

I've moved
to Tuffline XP for shorebased casting and Daiwa Saltiga Boat Braid in various different strengths for all jigging and bottom bouncing.

I was given a spool of
I was given a spool of spiderwire PRT or something. It was a white line at 30lb. It was quite thin and cast nicely. I got a barra lure snagged and could not retrieve with the prodder.
Only option was to break the line. Bloody hell that was hard work! I have very good confidence in my knot strength with this spider stuff! Basically had to drive the boat away from the snag and lock up the spool, which nearly saw me go over the side!

Another
for Varivas Big One for jigging and botton bouncing however after using Saltiga Si I think this is my new line of choice.
It sliced through an anchor rope as if it was butter. ( Sorry Paul )

You MUST check out....
Tasline from Paulus Just Fishing.
He has it made in New Zealand. Very high strength to diameter and not expensive.
Have a look at his website to compare brands re diameter and actual breaking strain and then get the pricing for brands on the net. There's nothing he doesn't know about braid. He's in Queensland and posts quick and for free.
Yes, I'm a fan.
