Beware.. I am BACK

Too many fuggin bosses in hospitals these days dammit. NO you can't do this.. NO you can't do that. What happened to the days when I could do what I want? It's going to take a few days of sorting out at home for me and the dog to re-establish control here....
How's the Pies been going??? LOL

Great to be back
All the focus is off the Eagles now mate. Everyone is jumping off the wagon from many teams for all sorts or reasons. Just remember where things are at and lets quietly go about our business. Isn't it great to see the Dawkers guys come back on-board after taking an embarassment break? Let's see how that ends up. It will be a fight to the death to see if they can make the 8. From what I saw in my drugged out state Sunday they have not too much to crow about unless they can sharpen things up for the more difficult challenges ahead. It's quite funny really, the old digger next to me was crowing on about how Bradley is the most under-rated player in the comp. I had to chuckle. All he is is a fuggin distraction for his own team!!!! LOL

I never take an embarrassment
I never take an embarrassment break from defending the Dockers. I did want to post about the Roos kicking eight unanswered a couple of weeks ago, but a) the wiggles got up to win and b) we have to play the Roos in a few weeks time at Etihad! so best be quiet in the meantime. We missed not only the goals in the second quarter on the weekend, but with it our opportunity to finish the round inside the eight. My prediction, and you read it here first folks, eighth place this year and a narrow loss in the first week of the finals, if we play away. If we play at home against the wiggles (5th v 8th), I'm not prepared to predict a loss or a win in a derby final. Next year, top four, and in 2014, serious premiership contenders (top 2). Pav can retire hopefully having played in a winning premiership team!

Yes mate. Pretty much
It took a while to stabalise after the op and there are a few other issues which will settle down in time. It's a big op so it should be expected.
Mobility is quite good. I have a lot of swelling in the leg right down to the toes so it's heavier than it needs to be. That just means a lot of sitting, standing and lying down. Fuggin missus is brooding here like an old chook so I need to get her settled LOL. Dog missed me big time. He won't leave my side for some time now, if ever. I haven't seen the scar but reports are it's only 4-5 cms long. It must have some stretch to allow them to do a complete hip replacement in that sort of an entry.

Recovery depends on me really mate
The harder you work at it the better (within reason). I will be on crutches for about 4 weeks and will need a stick after that for a short while. They say that total independance can come at 6 weeks but full recovery will take a fair while. I would rather that than what I had been going through.

Cheers randall
Yes; given the right job and circumstances I could probably start working again in a desk capacity from home any time after this week. I did however make a decision I was going to focus completely on myself and rehab this time even though it will cost me. My mind is already a lot clearer not having the arthritic pain and not having work stresses helps even more.
I agree with you about the Dockers mate. It's a race and I hope for the sake of a few of the senior guys there that the young blokes can step up. I hoping the same for the Eagles mate. On paper, they can't beat a top 4 side right now so they need to dig deep also.

Up and at em Vince. At least
Up and at em Vince. At least your fingers aren't crook so keyboard assaults are essential with the pathetic competition. Don't worry the eagles wil be there to play good finals footy in a few weeks. I'll get attacked for this but any team can't play at that intensity for an entire season( In the modern day competition) then win a granny. The hunger will return.

I reckon its a three team
I reckon its a three team race from here on in, Sydney, Hawthorn and Adelaide. Sorry to all the others, but reality is that Adelaide will probably have two home finals with their easier run home. I think then its a choice of whether they play Sydney or Hawthorn.... (I hope its Sydney, just so we don't have a Vic team in the GF!)

Pies
Wouldn't give up on the Pies just yet Randall. Be more than happy to finish 4th and play Adelaide in a home qualifying final (prefer to play in Melbourne obviously).
Adelaide are playing well but finals pressure is a whole different kettle of fish. Not much finals experience on their list.

Job
The job's in front of him now, have a big finish and final series and the $ will take care of themselves.
However a poor finish will see his value diminish IMO, unless of course there is an underlying injury somewhere.

Welcome to the club Vince
and I wish you a speedy recuperation. With respect to your passion for your beloved Eagles and the AFL my only comment as a rugby union supporter would be I wish the administrators of the game would decide on whether they wish AFL to become a contact or non contact sport. Ducking for cover now.

Arrhhh, gotta love that red
Arrhhh, gotta love that red flag to a lot of bulls! i like both codes, i love my freo dockers, and my young bloke has just started union this year (U18's). I have respect for both codes. aerobically, i think the afl players take to points, but for shear toughness, don't give a centimetre latitude, i think the union players have it. both great to watch!

Was for Alan to answer but you jumped in first.
Not sure which code, but he poked his thumb up his team mates bum while in a scrum and got pinged for it, was a few years back.

in the last two games of U18's my young bloke has played i think the injury toll is one broken leg, one knee buggered, several teeth knocked out (of the same mouth), at least one black eye (my young bloke) and get this one.... a SPLIT testicle! OUCH! they're tough!

I have a mate who got crunched 2 weeks ago. Did enough damage to his spinal cord that the doctors told him he probably wouldn't walk again, 10 days ago. The tough bastard not only stood on his own, but took a few steps today.
