There is speculation that
There is speculation that Balla Balla has been netted due to the extremely poor fishing there this year (compared to neighbouring systems that have produced really well)...
Really good theory though, and quite possible...
If you have the option I would suggest you fish the creeks east/west of balla (you'll need a boat).

Thanks guys!
HMM, that does not sound good, we were not planning taking a boat, although we may reconsider after reading your comments!
The plan was to slip over on the access road from TP early Sunday morn & fish the rock bar/inlet, stay the night & rerturn the next day.
We don't have too much time up our sleeves (wives kids you know the rest!)
However if its not blowing a session around the front of the island might be the go. alternativley some where else from the shore may be on the cards?

I'd definately recommend
I'd definately recommend taking the boat unless it's too much trouble to take it over the access road. This weekend looks exceptionally good weather wise (touch wood) and the tides are ideal for creek fishing.
Alternatively, you should head out wide of the island if you're keen for a bit of bluewater action and the weather should permit that if it stays as forecasted.
