Bait Cannon

Simple & cheap to make so if it gets me a good distance further out than just casting on the beach, I want one. Would beat the pants of yakking out baits at night. The question is: How legal/illegal are they in WA? Anybody know or have any thoughts on it?

No more soaking wet & risking

No more soaking wet & risking life & limb in the dark on a remote surf beach to get a bait out into that gutter 150-200m out is a huge reason in my eyes. They aren't for getting balloons out. Balloons have no place in the world of air/bait cannons. Bait cannons are for bottom fishing. The idea is to make up frozen bait 'missiles' that comprise of a complete rig & bait frozen in a block of 'berley water'. When you freeze it you leave the top end of the rig hanging out the top of the mould so you can attach it to a swivel on your main line before sliding it down the barrel & firing it into the wild blue yonder. Once the missile is in the water it will melt leaving a perfectly baited up rig sitting on the bottom. At least that's the idea. Seems to work pretty well from the videos I've seen.
