You'll find doesnt matter wat you use you wont get a hit unless they're there. Main thing is to find them first to cast to likely spots and just persists.

I chased them for a while and its good fun! But Ryan is absolutly correct for a change!lol. Na hehehehe You have to be very quiet as quiet as chasing big bream around jetties when walking on them. I fished with 6lb mainline and 10lb flouro leader which worked a treat and you could go lighter but they do and will rub you off in structure. Jig head 1/16.
Best is to find them...Burley up with half mulies and get em feeding then lob a half mulie out with no sinker and let it sink amoungst the burley trail.
Went looking for some today. Managed to score one today. Only a tiny one but none the less....a sambo on POPPER!!. Absolutely belted it. Was using a 5cm popper of some sort.... after that nothing for over an hour.

I have a spot where i can guarantee they will be there. It is within a metre of water. i went today with some bait . blowies where a pain but managed to get onto what looked like a small one but it went ape s**t and busted off. I
how small was the "small" one you hooked? Mine was under 30cm and on 8lb bream gear...didnt really pull that hard compare to a bream of similar size...

i hooked and landed one of over 40cm a couple of weeks ago. The one i was onto yesterday went as hard if not harder than that one so i assume roughly the same size. I have had my fair share of good bream and i reckon that these guys fight harder and dirtier!

Before suggesting, what have you thrown at em so far?.......what leader have you been using? and are they aware of your presence?
