Assassin Rods

On a recent trip to Exmouth the guys were testing the new Assassin AMIA 9ft, the reports back are that it is just as good as the brilliant 11ft AMIA.

Is that paired with a 5000 fj
Is that paired with a 5000 fj stradic in the bottom picture? If so how did that go as a combo?

That is a 5000 fj on the 9ft in the bottom pic . That combo was very well balanced and just felt right in the hand . Spent a lot of time casting the 2 oz gt ice creams and could stand for hrs not getting fatigued . The rod is a casting machine , nice and light , but super strong with awesome pulling power .
It's not the greatest pic , but that gaint guitar fish ( shovelnose ) was just over 6 ft and approx 45 kg , caught in very reefy ground while fishing for spanglies . I had to lock the drag and put some serious pressure on the fish and the rod to try land her , anyone who has caught one of these shovelnose rays will know how hard they go .
If u looking for an awesome rod , have a look at the assasin amia .

It works well
Run 10lbs or 15lbs on mine, And 30lb on my boat rod for snapper..... GREAT reel worth ever dollar

Not sure mate , that was the first one made , I believe the container will be arriving shortly with all the new rods .
If u north of the river , castaway tackle (tackle shack ) stock the assassin range.

Was running 20lb fireline , not sure on how much line was on there , but there was a fair bit left over from a 300yd spool . at a guess approx. 220/240 yds
